Because each material can have many different nodes and connections to create these styles, to simplify things we have added notes along with what we call the YMA Color Node System. All nodes are color coded and organized/grouped together for ease of use/understanding.

To simplify which nodes are ideal to edit, we have made specific Node Preview Windows Open to help speed up where to find commonly changed settings (size, color, transparency, etc.).
Preview Window = OPEN Edit those settings
Preview Window = CLOSED Can ignore

Higher intensity on lights are recommended. Try to use color in your lights as well, almost as if painting with lights. Don’t be afraid to increase saturation in your HDRI as well!!
In your Camera settings or in Compositing play with higher saturation - higher saturation will feel more like paint! UVs
