đź’ˇ The Sci-fi Studio is inspired by various futuristic / space film, comic and illustrations. A combination of bespoke textures + OSL nodes are used in bump and masking to creating distinct changes as light hits the surface. UVs or the Tri-planar Node will typically be required to work as intended.

đź’ˇ The Scale Nodes + Color Nodes + OSL Nodes will be the most used to change looks.

Rim Lighting
- Many Tech materials will have Rim lighting set to 1 (default is usually 0). To control the Rim effect create a Specific Rim Light and drag it into the Material > Rim Lighting panel. If no lights are added, Rim lighting is equivalent to a uniform fresnel effect.

OSL Nodes
- Some materials will use OSL nodes such as UVW Transform, Blur, Flakes or Hexagon. Newer RS updates may make OSL give a warning of “not in Shader Kernel” and give a Black shaderball. Shader will still work in IPR but not shaderball. Maxon has been made aware and they are looking at fixes in their code.
- Experiment with OSL settings (Flake Scale Size / Flake Density for instance) depending on your object scale.
